The 1998 MSR/UW Summer Institute will explore conceptual relationships and synergies between biological and computational perspectives on intelligent systems. The Institute will bring together scientists investigating intelligent systems from a variety of subdisciplines of the biological and computational sciences, including integrative and comparative biology, neuroscience, neuroethology, artificial intelligence, decision science, computational neuroscience, computational theory, computer engineering, operating systems, and networking and communications.
