Introduction to Neo4j and Graph Databases

This presentation introduces participants to what a graph database is and how Neo4j is used in many enterprises to implement key use cases. Participants will learn about the differences between a relational data model and a graph property model. Then, participants will learn about the components of the Neo4j Graph Platform and how to use Cypher to retrieve data from Neo4j.
Prerequisites: None, but attendees may want to check out Neo4j Enterprise on the Azure Marketplace, or try out https://neo4jsandbox.com/
Lab Prerequisites: None, but there will be an in-session demo in the second half of this session; users can follow along on their own machines. (Instructions for this will be provided.)
